Write academically

Hello, I am a recent undergraduate and I want to achieve excellence. I haven't written something for ages though and judging about the level in university where can I start from to start writing academically and build it up?

Reading anything academic, lots and lots and lots! Without thinking, you will start to improve your writing style

I'd definitely suggest seeing what kinds of academic writing support your uni has - often they have "writing lab" sessions for example, and online resources to help you with it.

Some of these resources are not just limited to your own uni and are published publicly too! See for example the academic phrasebank at Manchester here: https://www.phrasebank.manchester.ac.uk/ which might help you with phrasing and wording. Likewise the IoE Writing Centre at UCL has some online resources on reading and writing critically: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/ioe/departments-and-centres/centres/academic-writing-centre/resources-academic-reading-and-writing which can help you get more of a sense of how you need to be approaching things.

There's probably lots more stuff like this at various unis including your own though
