Laparoscopy and Mid Terms

Hey Guys,
I’m a second-year student at Surrey University and I’m reaching out because I have midterms scheduled for the week after next. Unfortunately, I’m undergoing a laparoscopy on Monday for endometriosis, and I’m concerned about my recovery time impacting my ability to revise and attend my exams. Could anyone please advise me on the process for applying for extenuating circumstances? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Talk to your uni - no-one on here will know.

Hi Anon,

Unfortunately, I cannot provide specific advice regarding your situation on here. I recommend reaching out to the Students' Union, as they can guide you through the process.

For more information, please visit the following links:

- More information from the Students' Union can be found here.

- You can also find general information on Extenuating Circumstances here.

If your condition negatively impacts your ability to complete exams, please contact our Disability and Nueroinclusion team- they will be able to advise you on any reasonable adjustments for your exams.

If you’re still feeling uncertain or need further assistance, please also feel free to reach out to MySurreyHive or your personal tutor.

Wishing you all the best,
Daniel
