Marine Bio qualifications q please

Does anyone have any tips on qualifications/extra things to do for marine bio students please?

Depends on your long-term plans - if you want to go into academia, you want to get as much research experience as possible (every summer if you're able to). It's an incredibly competitive field.

Work experience and networking. Marine conservation is also incredibly competitive and extensive work experience and useful connections are the only realistic way to get into the field. Ask your professors if they're aware of any opportunities, and potentially get a Twitter/BlueSky account if you don't already because there's a fairly active marine science community there. EuroMarine OYSTER has fairly frequent threads on Twitter with internship/volunteering/etc opportunities.
