Help me make the right choice?

I want to apply to university of manchester for Digital, Culture Media & Society - its AAB and my predicted are ABD, and my gcses are quite low for a big uni like Manchester. Should I wing it and apply and see what happens or just do the absolute best i can in the real a-levels, wait for clearing to open and see if they’ll accept me then?
That D grade is a bit of a worry - but ultimately it depends on the individual Uni and how competitive that course is. Just remember that not all courses will need to go into Clearing, and the idea that all Unis will drop grade requirements to a very low level in Clearing is a bit of a myth.

No, I don’t mean the uni dropping grade requirements during clearing, i mean me getting a higher grade at the end of my alevel exams. But yeah, I do agree about not all courses going into clearing, but just thinking what i should do if it does happen
