Postgraduate student loan

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to inquire about my eligibility for a student loan to pursue a master’s degree in England. I am a British passport holder currently residing in Pakistan, where I am also completing my undergraduate studies. I intend to begin my postgraduate studies in the upcoming academic year and would like to confirm if my circumstances allow me to apply for financial assistance through a student loan.

Please advise me on the specific eligibility requirements and any documentation I may need to provide given my residency status. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on the application process, including key deadlines and relevant resources.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

Hi there,

Normally, to be eligible for funding you need to have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to the start of the course.

However, time spent abroad can be okay if it's temporary. Would you say your time abroad is of a temporary nature?

Thanks, Graeme

Hi there,

We can only advise on Student Finance England funding. You would be best speaking to your university you wish to study with for further information.

Thanks,
Claire
