hello,
ill be honest, i have uplearn for 3 of my subjects, and i do bio chem and psych, in my opinion its rlly good for chem and bio, for psych it goes abit beyond the spec but its alright
for bio and chem theyre great, deffinetly not self promoting and am a student struggling but its been giving me progress so far.
but you dont need uplearn for gcses, when you get to A-levels then you can think about getting them.

Yeah I'm doing fine at GCSE's I'd say, and I'm getting a tutor to improve my chemistry. I think I'll get it for chem, bio and maths and follow the course from the start, if I can't afford it by then (I'm saving) I'll atleast start with chem and maths.

Practice questions, and MARK THEM!! For bio especially they are extremely picky on what you should write so having a general idea on what the examiners want is crucial. It doesn't matter if you get them wrong as long as you are actively trying to understand why it is you got them wrong and what you should try instead.
I used physics and maths tutor to find all my questions and past papers, however once you've done a lot of the questions its hard to find new ones so I used 'save my exams' as they often have new questions that I hadn't seen before.
For Chemistry you really need to be able to apply the things you've learnt as lots of the questions link topics together
@DerDracologe you had biology at A levels, hadn't you?
@TypicalNerd you had taken chemistry A levels, you can help.

Tagging is easier than talk about the own experiences.

Two months, could be that your tips are still needed. A levels last longer than two months.

This is how i revise Biology:

Blurt on a topic from the spec and write down everything i know

Add to the blurt in another colour from my notes

Put whatever i added to the blurt as questions on a blooket

Review the blooket a few times per week

Do exam questions on the topics ive blurted on and mark them to get used to the markscheme

I do spaced repetition flashcards on studysmarter which i make myself too 🙂
