I'm applying for maths A-level and Business A-level and I need tips

i do business a level for eduqas and my tip would be to practice questions after each topic e.g. doing a 10+ marker on that topic. ALSO make revision cards along the way so you don't fall behind.

For a level maths, I can't really speak on the subject but a friend of mine normally does past papers but I'd also presume that making revision cards on any formulas or topics you find hard is best.

P.S Don't feel afraid to ask for help with essays or questions it's always best to make sure that you understand the topic well 🙂
im in y13 and i do maths
to prep for maths exams, i usually just answer questions based on weak points (for me, thats like, suvat, functions+graphs, and other stuff)
if im stuck i use PMT solution bank (if textbook answers) or watch bicen maths or tl maths

Hi @lifegoing-book,

Personally I haven't studied Business or Maths at A-level, however here is a top tip from a friend who got A* at Business A level.

His top advice is:
1) Don't overcomplicate the questions.
2) Back up your points with contemporary evidence.
3) Include counter arguments.

My general A-level advice would be:

1) Discover which learning method works best for you - If your a visual learner you may prefer mind maps, while auditory learners may prefer audio books or podcasts. You may also wish to look into kinaesthetic learning methods which take on a hands-on approach.

2) Practice papers - This is essential in learning how the examiners wants you to write. You should do a mix of self-assessing and getting your teachers to mark your work. Self assessing allows you to look through the mark scheme and understand what's expected of you. Having a teacher check is great as it allows a second opinion.

I hope this helped, please feel free to ask me anymore questions,
-Sophia (Business and Management)
