A Level Biology mark scheme revision

I am in year 13 and I usually get good grades for biology however for the mocks coming up I want to make sure I get as many marks as possible for an A*. How would I properly learn what the mark scheme is asking from me. I have memorised the mark scheme and what they kinda look for but I am worried that if something other than past questions pops up I could lose marks?

what do you mean that you have memorised the mark scheme? are we talking about questions? or what else

when students talk about memorising the mark scheme they often mean for long ended questions alternatively if a question comes up and you haven't seen it before then that is the reality of taking exams, its the same process you'll have in May next year

Like say if a similar question pops up I kinda know the basics of what will be awarded in the mark scheme, the type of language they like. But ultimately how would I gain the most amount of marks on application questions. Of course that's the whole point of exams to come across something you haven't before but issue with biology is that even if you write everything correct but it doesn't tick some words off, then you don't get the mark. Synonyms etc.

i guess by your reasoning youve practised a lot so you would have an idea but best method is to learn concepts well enough so your knowledge is well for the exam also remember the more you know the more easier you'll find the essays
since ik your in y13 from our previous conversation, what is your revision like? as a fellow y13 i'm also reviewing y12 topics too but i thought it might be nice to hear what your doing to kind of learn etc like is your revision intense etc are you done with content yet

I continuously practise questions and go over content. I suggest using save my exams it helped me a lot. Tbf thats really all I do. Keeping on top of any new topics I learn in class. The maths questions sometimes get confusing so I ask my teacher for help. More near mocks/ exams I start revising at least 2-3 hrs a day for one subject.

I have subscription for it. It's £60 but definitely worth it. Ask a friend to split it with if they also wish to use save my exams. I use their notes mainly and then use PMT for questions.
