I am currently making my portfolio but I’m not sure I have enough work to fit 20 slides, will I be penalised for this or should I spread out my work more?

Applicants are expected to be selective about the work they wish to present and can upload a maximum of 20 files (ie we suggest a single file per work you want to include).
Candidates may submit images of works in any medium, from sketchbooks to three-dimensional or site-specific work, and durational pieces. Combining photographs of a sketchbook or development boards, or an installation etc, in one single pdf, will count as one piece.
As it says a maxmium of 20 files, it's unlikely you'll be penalised if you submit a few files less than the maximum amount - however, I'd recommend getting in contact with admissions to see if they can provide you with a definite answer. However, if you feel like you don't have enough finished work, it's worthwhile to remember you can also submit pieces in development or sketchbook photographs as well.
Hope this was helpful, and best of luck with your application! 🙂 Eve (Kingston Rep).
