Insurance on st170

Hello I am 18 years of age and am looking for insurance on a focus st 170 which is a group 31 insurance most places won’t allow this until I am 21 any insurance suggestions?

We cant suggest insurance, as insurance/prices are different for everyone.
Insurance/price depends on a lot of different factors (e.g. location, where you keep the car at night etc etc etc).

To be honest id suggest having something less sporty for your first car. Get a focus st170 in 2/3 years time when you are a bit older, have 2/3 years no claims etc.

Sorry I know it's not what you want to hear, but its the truth. I get it, anyone with an interest in cars wants to get a cool one ASAP, but it almost never makes sense. You're much more likely to get yourself in trouble, anything going wrong with it will often ruin you, old Fords are awful for rust and as you're finding, insurance will be 'silly money'. Many providers won't give you a quote and most of the ones that do will either want £5000 odd or are basically scams.

With that said Adrian Flux are my goto insurance broker when I've bought something silly and normal insurers won't return my calls, but they might be put off by age and lack of driving driving exp as well.

Insurance prices in general are crazy just now, this is them trying to claw back all their losses from covid with a vengeance. My insurance literally trebled this year, and that's with me being older and a good no claims bonus, if you google 'why did my insurance double/treble' you'll see 1000s with the same complaint.
