personal statement advice (for 6th form)

going into sixth form next yr and i have to write a personal statement. looking online i can only find advice for uni personal statements which isnt exactly 100% applicable to 6th form applications. Any advice on what to include/not to include? also on the application form section there's an area for extracurriculars - shd I list or go full on essay mode 😭

I don’t know about the section of extracurriculars- maybe ask someone at your school as it will vary from region to region and my application form didnt have this.
For the personal statement, the structure I used was to have a one paragraph per subject you want to study.
For each then put why you’re enjoying it at GCSE if you take it, why you wanna do it for a level, how it’ll benefit you in the future like for uni or a career you’re interested in, any relevant extracurriculars, any skills you have which make you suited to the course, any hobbies you have which are relevant. You dont have to have something for all of them but a few is good- and focus on yourself not just listing achievements to sell you personally.
Then add a final paragraph on any other stuff like volunteering, work experience, hobbies, interests, clubs you do to show you have broad interests and are an appealing candidate.
Hope this helps and happy to try to answer any more questions if you have them 🙂 Hope you have a fantastic day!
