do we need to have good GCSEs to get into cambridge? like could i get into law with good Alevels and doing extra things in my own time? please give me the harsh honest truth i got D1,4443366 in my GCSEs
Are you confident of your ability to get the minimum entry requirements at A-Level (A*AA)? It is uncommon for students to do so much better in their A-Levels than their GCSEs and is usually because of significant extenuating circumstances. If you are unable to significantly improve, then the question is moot anyway.

Interestingly, Cambridge has no minimum GCSE requirements. I heard this case of a girl getting in to Oxford with only two GCSEs at grade 4, so it is certainly possible for you to have a chance at Cambridge. Just aim for As and A*s at A level.

yes I am confident. In highschool i was at a very low point of my life. I am so much more motivated and I know and trust in myself that I can make it

You will need to; perform well in the interview, have a great personal statement, hopefully some law work experience and A levels above the typical offer (A*A*A) . Regardless of whether you get in or not, top law firms like Slaughter and May for example hired lawyers from 71 different universities into entry level positions, so its still possible to break into a great career if you don't manage to get in. Hope this helps!
