Bournemouth or Notts Trent for Business

HI I am on a gap year and can't decide which Uni to go to next year. I have 104 tariff points and want to study business. Can't decide where would be best and looking for any advice from anyone who has similar where can I get into? has anyone been to look at both Notts Trent and Bournemouth and what were their opinions? which did they choose and why?

Also where else should I look at? anyone who is on these courses where else did you visit that was similar?

Hello @tom001tom

It's so exciting that you've decided to study business and are doing lots of research to help make the right decision for you! Have you considered studying business at the University of Essex? 🎓️

We have the Business and Economics pathway which would give you the option of studying BSc Business Management, BSc Economics or BSc Accounting and Finance 💼 in the UK's first zero carbon Business School 🌳

The University of Essex is just outside of Colchester, less than one hour away from London on the train (with three stations near to campus). Our Students' Union is amazing, with over 165 societies to join, a library (open 24/7), gym and sports centre (free if you live on campus), cinema, two bars and a nightclub on campus. 🌟

Have a look through these links for more information: 🔍️

We look forward to hearing from you soon! Let us know if you have any other questions 😀

Hi tom001tom,

We've got a number of Business & Management courses which may interest you! It's a framework, so you start in a common first year and specialise into the area of business that interests you most after that.

These courses have multiple accreditations including AACSB & Chartered Management Institute.

You have the opportunity to complete a placement as part of your studies. We are proud that our students have played their part in the success of top firms including Microsoft, JP Morgan, IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Motorola.

Bournemouth itself is famous for its seven-mile stretch of award-winning sandy beaches, thriving hub for a number of industries including the creative, financial and tourism sectors and easy access to London.

We've got lots of clubs & societies for you to join, and you can even set up a new one once you're here!

Take a look at why BU could be the place for you and have a think about joining us at one of our upcoming Open Days 🙂
