SFE still processing application

I applied for student finance on time.

Student Finance gave me an email my further evidence was recieved September 30th.

The original evidence sent to sfe was a home office letter confirming my immigration status still in process. Including the date in which our immigration stat was applied for with home office.

On my SFE portal they said I will get update by 24th October which has now dissappeared.(I have a screenshot)

My university has invoiced me the tuition fee. But my sfe application is still processing.

Still heard nothing back from SFE. Tried to call them and they were no help told me my application has been put on hold? She told me to wait… which i have been doing. But time is now running out.

I have assignments to get done and this is stressing me out.

When does homeoffice get back to sfe. Like the average wait time ?

I need some help if this can be be solved. I really need a date of when this can be solved so I can talk to my uni about it.

Hi there, if you've not had a request for any further evidence then do keep an eye on this updating shortly. Timescales are always estimates and subject to change so this can change on a day to day basis. Thanks, Jason

But what should i do ? My university has told me to contact you. If I dont pay the invoice before early next month they will sign me out of my university portal. I have assesments to do.

I simply dont understand, if there are university students that require further evidence why it should take this long. Why apply at the same time as a british applicant. I did everything that was asked of me on time, in fear of this.

I understand its a estimate but is there a average wait time. When waiting for homeoffice to get back to sfe ? telling me to simply wait doesn’t help my situation.

If you speak to the university and advise them of the timescale we've given so they are aware of this. You can alternatively contact us with the university if they are requesting confirmation that you have applied (or show them the letter you received asking for the further evidence). Thanks, Jason
