Joint honours vs single
Hiii! Im currently in y12 and thinking of maybe doing a joint honours with English Lit and Philosophy, at Edinburgh or Bristol as i've seen for some unis grade requirements are lower for joint honours. I was wondering if anyone knew if it makes it easier to get an offer doing a joint honours and if I need to equally weight my personal statement, as I only have an English literature A Level.

Lower grade requirements suggest that it is indeed easier to get an offer - think supply and demand. You would need to write about both subjects, though I doubt that admissions would count the words to make sure they are equal.
