Have you taken a look at the Personal Statement Guidance Hub thread? It contains lots of useful information and advice about writing personal statements.

There's a free statement review service here on TSR.

Try not to share your statement with random people online, (no matter how well meaning they are), as you will just be inviting plagiarism issues.

Hey there , first of all I am so. inspired by you beating Cancer at young age and then taking on your studies in a whole other country. as an international student I know how hard the latter can be. I would advise you to make your personal statement as personal as possible and if you're comfortable talk about how having a terminal illness affected you and your ambitions to study. I am from a third world country and I mentioned how my experiences shaped me , my ambitions and how much hard work I would put in once I got into university and how important this education is to me. I think you should do the same regardless of where you plan to study .
Keep in ming a personal statement for university should highlight your academic achievements, passion for your chosen field of study, relevant experiences, and career aspirations. It should explain why you are interested in the subject, how your past experiences have prepared you, and what skills or qualities you will bring to the university. Include examples of extracurricular activities, volunteering, or work experience that showcase your dedication and ability to succeed in higher education. Finally, make sure to convey your enthusiasm and future goals, showing how the university and its program align with your ambitions.
I hope this helps .
