You could get a response at any time between a few days, and next May.
The more competitive the Uni, the longer you are likely to wait.

I am applying for International Relations at LSE, KCL, UCL, SOAS, and Edinburgh.
If I were to send my application in the middle of November, when do you reckon I hear back from these unis?

You are applying to competitive universities in London, they will reply later in the academic year.

Hi @uniacceptmepls,

I love the username by the name.

Unfortunately, there is no straight answer to give here. Every university processes applications at its own pace, some years universities get more applications than others academic years. It all depends on how many applications they need to process. However, UCAS has set deadlines for universities to get back to students (you can view them here: https://www.ucas.com/connect/blogs/decision-decisions%E2%80%A6-when-are-you-likely-hear-back-unis).

Your best bet is to proofread your application and hopefully, you get the outcome you want.

Good luck with your application and all the best with your exams next summer.

Have an amazing day 🙂

Thank you for the username appreciation!!

Oh well, as long as I get some good news at the end of it, it’s alright when I hear back from the universities.

Also a question, how are you finding SOAS’ student environment? I’m an international student so am really curious about it.

Thanks! Have a great day yourself

No worries.

Of course, just try not to get too stressed or worried about it. As long as you have put your best foot forward, there is nothing else you can do.

The student environment is honestly what you make of it, there are so many opportunities and activities to get involved in. I am honestly having a great time. I love my job as a Student Ambassador, I've volunteered at societies and as a Student Rep and have great teachers. It's really just about trying new things and finding out what interests you. We have a lot of international students so you will most likely find your community on campus whether it's because you have the same background or interests.

If you want to speak to students from SOAS privately to ask them any questions, SOAS is part of the UniBuddy programme where you can message students and staff for any specific questions or queries. Here is the link to the website: https://www.soas.ac.uk/study/chat-students-and-staff.

I hope this helps. 🙂

Thanks! I received Edinburgh on the 5th of February with my UCAS updating at 16:08 pm UK time. I think I got a notification on MyEd around the same time. I applied on Jan 13th btw
