Cardiff Uni

Hey! Who has studied law in Cardiff Uni? How is it? Last year, I did Foundation Programme at the University of Warwick, but unfortunately I wasn't able to achieve grade of 70% overall, now I am looking to apply to Cardiff Uni for International Year One in Law.

Hi there,

Happy to hear you are applying to Cardiff uni! I am in my fourth year at uni here at Cardiff, and a lot of my friends do law here. They really enjoy it, and many of them are now doing a masters. The law school offer some good networking events and extra curricular opportunities, such as pro-bono work, which can be great for your experience and CV. The teachers a nice, threes lots of choice for option modules, which allows you to experience and try out new things, and/or build expertise. Theres a big cohort, international and a range of social events for law students.
Not to sound too bias, but I do love Cardiff uni, I think its a great place to be a student and theres many opportunities available, of all sorts. Theres a really good sense of community, and always things going on for everyone.
Any other questions please let me know, hope all goes well,

Thank you for your answer! What is pro bono work?

No worries! Pro bono work is something that is very common in the law profession (after uni), where lawyers offer their advice and/or representation in the public interest, so for charities, community groups or individuals etc. But you while at uni you won't be providing that service completely alone don't worry. But as it is common in the wider profession is a good opportunity to get some experience while you can at uni too.
I suggest checking out this link to find out more about it and the projects you could get involved with:

Hope this helps,
