Should i ask to change from politics to further maths a level. deadline has passed around 2 weeks ago and my head of hall hates me. im so stressed what do i do
Listen, you'll be ok, and we'll work this out.

Listen, i get your stress. I got CDE in mocks in y12 and my predicted are BBB. I do maths, cs and geo, and dropped chem. IK what u mean by struggling in essay writing, i cant write an essay for the life of me. But i plan on doing working on 12-, 15- and 20-mark questions consistently, and possibly asking my teachers to mark it.

For maths, i wanna practice a lot of questions and past papers. CS can wait. its my best subject

Switching subjects also depends on what you want to do in life

It also depends on what uni u want to go to. FM is needed for prestigious unis, like LSE, Warwick, Durham, Oxbridge, Imperial etc.

If u dont want to go to any of those unis for stem, then keep politics, but if u do want to go to stem for those unis change.
Feeling overwhelmed is completely normal, especially with subjects as challenging as yours. Before deciding whether to switch back to Further Maths, consider whether it would reduce your stress or bring different challenges. Essay writing is tough at first, but it’s a skill you can improve—maybe ask your teacher for feedback on practice essays or check out some model answers to get a feel for structuring them. To keep up with the news without getting overloaded, try sticking to a few reliable sources or a weekly recap. It might also be worth talking with your Head of Hall or another teacher about how stressed you’re feeling. They might be more supportive than you expect. Break down your goals into small steps you can work on gradually, and try some relaxation techniques to help manage the stress. You’ve got this; with a few adjustments, things can feel a lot more manageable.
