For those of you who celebrate Christmas, the idea of getting some of the things you’ve been after but can't afford with the uni budget is super exciting (as Christmas always is)! But rather than filling your list with everything and anything you might want, this is a great chance to ask for some things that will aid your everyday student life.
One thing that you might be starting to find out around now is how cold the nights get and in the spirit of Christmas, a great idea is to ask for some cosy bits to keep you warm and feeling festive. Whether it’s some nice bedding, a blanket or some cozy pyjamas, anything that’ll keep you warm is a great option to put on the Christmas list.
Whilst it might sound simple, a really great thing to ask for is a good game. Whether it’s a board game or a card game, a game is a great way to get to know your friends better and is a super fun way to spend a night without spending money! After Christmas is definitely a time when nights out can get a bit sparse as it gets cold and people get tired which means you want to be prepared to keep the nights in fun and not feeling samey!
Although getting some bottles of alcohol as a little gift from relatives or friends can be a nice present, it’s most likely one that people will presume you want. Asking for some snacks or drinks you wouldn’t necessarily fit into your weekly shop budget is a great way to keep yourself from getting those January blues and gives you something to look forward to after a long day of uni! In addition to this self care bits is also a great shout to keep you feeling good and relaxed long after the Christmas break ends!
