Physiotherapy degree with foundation year

Good evening,

I would like to pursue a degree in Physiotherapy as an undergraduate second degree. Would I be entitled for maintenance and tuition fee from Student Finance if the course has a foundation year also.

Hi there,

Many Physiotherapy courses are exceptions, that's true - so you can be entitled to funding regardless of your previous study.

When do you plan to start this course?

Thanks, Graeme

Hi Graeme,

Still doing research about it. Probably for September 2025. Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Alex,

Would the course be full time or part time? Is the Foundation year separate to the course or integrated?

Thanks,
Claire

Hi Claire,
The course is full time with foundation year integrated. And I will be applying, if possible, for this course as a second undergraduate degree. Will all 4 years ( 1 foundation year integrated with the remaining 3) be eligible for full funding ( tuition and maintenance ) from SFE?

Thank you,
Alex

Hi there. Can you also please confirm what your previous field of study was that you gained a qualification for? Thanks again, David

Hi David,

My first degree is in Business and HR. Thank you
Hi there,

This course should be classed as an exception course and you should get full funding for the 4 years. Do you know what university you want to attend?

Thanks, Drew

Hi there,
London South Bank University is offering this course BSc( Hons) Physiotherapy with Foundation year. The university confirmed the foundation year is integrated in the degree. Can you please check and confirm if the course will be fully funded?
