That's CIE right?
I'm doing Edexcel IGCSE for bio but what helped me was going through multiple past papers and understanding what exactly the mark scheme is expecting. With that, I created templates on how to answer a few questions. For example, when I've got to describe an experimental setup, I write it using the CORMS structure where:
C - Change (the independent variable, for example light intensity for photosynthesis)
O - The organism (type of plant for example)
R - Repeat it 3 times for reliability
M1 and M2 - what I'll be measuring (the rate of photosynthesis for example)
S1 and S2 - What I keep the same (temperature, CO2 concentration, etc)

Understanding what the mark scheme's expecting from you is really important! Sometimes, they just look to see whether you've included a specific term and that gets you a mark!

Sorry I couldn't help too much with this as I'm doing a different exam board...

This helps a lot!! Although it’s a different exam board, we do still have investigation questions in our ATP paper which is paper 6 so this method really helps breakdown the structuring of the question. Thank you so muchh for your helpp. Much appreciated 💗💗!!

I'm glad!
Using this structure (for our board at least) gives you a definite 6/6 marks! :yep:

Good luck with your exams and I'm happy I could help! :hugs:

Hi, I'm Clemmie, I'm a triple AQA student, I like biology because it's the only science that feels bearable and it actually seems to relate directly to me, I'm only in year ten right now but I struggle with osmosis haha

Hello! I do Edexcel and I'm in Y10 at the moment. 🙂 My least favourite science is Biology, lol, but I still need that Grade 9!!! Also, I hate the nervous system and the nitrogen cycle since it is a lot of information to reviseeee.

Hi guys. I'm doing combined science AQA. On god man I write so much for those 6 markers and ends up only getting 2-4. Like. It pmo' so much. Please anyone, give advice. How do I improve it? How do I know what keywords to use. Maybe I'm explaining it in my own words and not using some keywords?
Any help greatly appreciated guys.
