Will a D in Nat 5 maths worsen my uni options?

Hi,
I’m interested in studying law at Aberdeen specifically. I did my Nat 5s this year and got a D in national 5 maths. I had the option to retake but I decided to instead do 5 highers and then if needed do my Nat 5 maths next year. However, will it really be needed as Aberdeen doesn’t specify for Nat 5 maths and I’ve emailed Glasgow and Edinburgh and both has said Nat 5 maths isn’t needed.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!!

Hi, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. That's a very fair question and definitely good to check how each of these universities would look at your results. The only subject specification we have is that Higher English is desirable, so we don't have a Maths requirement and wouldn't count a poor grade in Maths against your application. You can have a look on the course page if you want to refer back to these details: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/degree-programmes/762/M114/law/

I hope that's helpful! Please do let me know if you have any other questions about entry requirements or our courses.
