Hi, this is the University of Aberdeen rep account. So I don't think anyone on here will really be able to advise on the chances of admission as this will vary a great deal depending on the course and how many people apply that year. I will say though that some universities in the UK including ourselves don't charge an application fee and so there isn't too much stopping you from applying to many universities to spread your chances (as long as at some point you choose one to progress with so that you're not juggling too many offers). It would be worth finding this out if you're looking to apply to quite a few universities.

I won't be able to say too much about the other universities, but you can look at our Postgraduate Computing courses here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/study/postgraduate-taught/degree-programmes/?q=computing&view=detailed
And some guidance on applying for Postgraduate studies here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/study/postgraduate-taught/apply.php
And we do also have a Careers Service who are able to advise you on your options for work, and they have services that are available to you for life after studying with us: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/careers/

I hope some of this is helpful! If you do have more questions about our university or the UK in general please do just ask.

Your chances of getting an offer from most of them is reasonable. Your chances of getting funding to pay is absolutely tiny. So unless you can afford to pay fees and living costs, you may need a different plan.

Chances of getting a job in the software industry will depend on your visa needs and the rules in place at the time re sponsorship, but unless you have some unique skills, you may not be in a strong position.
