I am currently studying nursing in my second choice university, I like the uni and course so far however I am quite concerned as the overall rank of the uni is in the 90s and I have heard people make fun of the uni and have even heard someone say that it isn’t a “proper uni” and that it is a unserious uni etc. However my course is ranked in the mid 30s which isn’t too bad and the course is accredited by the NMC. I have been considering transferring unis bc my first choice university has a higher overall rank in the mid 30s however I cannot find the rank for my course as the uni has only recently started teaching nursing. I did meet l3 and other gcse requirements for my first choice uni however i did not meet one of the gcse requirements for the uni which is why I got rejected however I am willing to re sit if it’s worth transferring. What do you think is more important the overall uni rank or the rank of my course and is it worth transferring? I will be transferring after this academic year.

No it is not worth transferring as rankings are meaningless for healthcare courses. It does not matter where you study a nursing degree as all courses have to meet NMC standards. Your future employer (the NHS) won't care where you studied.
As discussed above, as long as your course meets NMC standards, it is absolutely fine. Employers don't care where you studied your degree Nat Third-year student nurse and ambassador
hello, won't uniforms be a concern when it comes to transferring unis? thanks
seriously by the time you have finished nursing you will have studied at a number of unis. my wife mmu, ou, robert gordon and glasgow. you uni has no effect on your future once you get your pin. dont transfer on uni ranking if your happy.
