Surrey vet school interview 2024

hi I was wondering if anyone had any tips on preparing for Surrey vet school interviews as I don't get how they can do MMI style questions online. am I supposed to prepare for role plays or prepare for more basic questions around ethics or motivations for being a vet. any help would be greatly appreciated

hi i’m preparing for a surrey interview too! on their website, it says that we will be asked 7 pre-recorded questions so there’s no need to prepare for a role play or anything. each question will last 4 minutes so i’m hoping they will ask some relatively generic questions that will allow us to give a lengthy response - 4 minutes straight is a long time to talk! hope this helped x
I did a Surrey interview last year and got an offer. It is prerecorded so I think they're looking to see how you think and approach a question, and how well you are able to discuss it and formulate an opinion on the spot (though they won't expect you to have a rehearsed opinion). I found it was more just talking through ideas as they came to me, but don't be afraid to take a moment at the start and throughout your response to organise your thoughts.
Also expect the unexpected! Practise your skills in answering on the spot questions and presenting your ideas on it for 4 minutes - there is no point in rehearsing answers for this interview. It is quite enjoyable when you get into it, view it as a chance to explore your own ideas.
Hi I did the Surrey one a couple of weeks ago and while I can’t say the questions asked I will emphasise what itsjustme123 said about expecting the unexpected and practising on the spot questions. Surrey just want to see how you approach a question and there’s no wrong or right answer just try to be confident with what you say, explain any ideas that you have and voice all your thoughts! They don’t mind if what you say is right or wrong (to an extent) they more care about why you think what you think, how you did that thought process and stuff like that.
