Is an iPad worth it?

Currently retaking my A Levels but also working full time. Hoping to get some extra revision done when I'm free or during my lunch break. Considering to get an ipad since it is lighter to take to work than my computer. But is it worth it or am I just being influenced by students online? If it is worth it which one should I get and from where? Thanks.

The big question is whether you've already tried this routine with your current laptop and whether you found it too heavy- if you have and found it uncomfortable to carry, then the move to a lighter tablet could justify its cost in the improvement it brings to your commute. If you haven't tried it, however, give your laptop a go to begin with as that's several hundred quid you could put towards other things that would have a greater benefit on your life if you find its weight to be manageable.

As for which iPad to buy if you do decide to, the baseline iPad is definitely the way to go. It's every bit as good as the iPad Air for basic revision and note taking and the weight difference between the two models is less than a chocolate bar. I did a full breakdown on the current iPad models here:
