What’s the best way to get into/become a management consultant?

Hi everyone,
I’m a yr 13 student who’s looking to become a consultant and was wondering the best way to do that. From whether university or degree apprenticeships are better, the type of experience needed, courses to study etc.
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks

The best way is to either complete a degree apprenticeship or go to a target school, study something with a business background, get really good grades, practise casing, and apply for internships/graduate jobs when the time comes.
As far as I understand the primary route would be to go to a target university doing any degree, give up any sense of self-respect, do some insight weeks and (an) internship(s), and then hope.

It would probably be practical to develop some alternative routes as well and to pick something to study based on your personal interests and/or giving you other career options in the reasonable likelihood you are unsuccessful at first and/or at all, rather than putting all your eggs in a basket that may not be there for you...
