Hello its great to hear your moving to Chester it really is a great place to live. Although it's a city it still feels small and personal. Chester has a lot of history - the walls are Roman, for example, and you can walk these, as well as tutor and Victorian buildings. Despite this its really modern too. The high street is full of great bars and you can find restaurants serving a huge range of global cuisine. Chester is jam packed with things to do - we have a cinema, theatre, gyms, as well as a flat racing racecourse. There are plenty of green spaces where you can go for walks. Chester has excellent travel links its close to Manchester and Liverpool and just 2 and a half hours by train from London.
I hope this has given you a flavour of Chester,
If there is anything more specific you want to know just ask!
