dropping maths after year 12

I take a level econ, maths english lang and psych. I HATE HATE HATEEEE maths SO MUCH but my parents made me choose either maths or bio. I took maths bc I took econ and I know some universities require you to take maths as an a level to study it. I really want to drop maths after getting the as level but I don't want it to limit my career options as I can't really do a degree without maths. Would unis accept the as level or would I need the full a level???

Depends what (economics?) you want to study and where.

You could try just looking at a couple of the universities entry requirements pages as a start?

I think unless you have any to do a humanities at uni, math is quite important but if you really don’t like math that much then a quantitative degree probably isn’t for you. If you do decide you want to do like English or law or something math prob can be dropped otherwise u may struggle without math

if you want to do economics at uni u MUST take maths otherwise you will not survive 😭😭 top schools for economics like lse require an A* in maths and further maths to give you an idea of how much maths is involved in the degree

if you really hate maths then u are really going to hate economics at uni - from what ive heard it’s very different and MUCH harder than economics at a level
