I'm kinda confused which colleges are closest to the law Faculty, I know that one college has their fresher's accommodations near the law faculty but not their whole college.
I'll appreciate if someone could rank the colleges (whole/most parts of the college) which are nearest to the law faculty.
newham is like a 2 minute walk, selwynn is like a 5 minute walk, and queens college is like an 8 minute walk, any other colleges near the centre and past Robinsons should be 10-30 honestly

Selwyn is quite close, as is Newnham, Clare, Queens', Darwin, Clare Hall, King's and a few others. Generally speaking, any of the central colleges or those by Newnham (the area) will be fine, that is to say most of them. It will be faster than it would say on Google or Apple Maps as you can through King's as a student in the day and they both assume you walk quite slowly. I'm at Sidney Sussex and I had a language course at Sidgewick Site and it was like a ten, fifteen minute walk at most. For everyday lectures, that's usually not an issue.
Also, check to make sure that is definitely the Law faculty that would be the most relevant. I study Maths and for the first two years our lectures and the majority of supervisions were not in the Maths centre but elsewhere. You may to check where Law lectures and supervisions are likely to be. That's not to say they aren't, I'm not sure as I don't study it.

Thanks for all the info! Hahaha I'm an international student so it was quite confusing to look at the map trying to figure out which college is nearest without visiting the actual place.

No problem at all. I honestly wouldn't worry too much as most of the central colleges are all <1km walk away. There are a couple that are slightly further out but, among the rest, I would recommend choosing based on the other things you'd like.

The back gate of Selwyn is about 20 seconds from the front door of the Law Faculty, the front door of Newnham about 40 seconds away. You will likely spend more time walking through each College from your room than across the Sidgwick to the Faculty.
Cambridge is a tiny city, I don't know why applicants seem to have such an obsession with distance! It's basically an entirely flat city, with excellent bus, cycle and pedestrian access. No-one has 'distance' problems in Cambridge.

Thanks for giving info about the time taken to walk 😊 I have an injury so I can't walk for long distances that's why I'm more concerned about the distance
