Summer ideas for Primary Ed QTS student

Hi folks,

I hope this post finds you well this autumn.

I am in first year doing the BA Primary Education with QTS course and I have just realised that my final semester ends in May (no exams) and this will mean I will have four months until I go back to university!

I would be really interested to know what current second and third year students have gotten up to during this long gap after their placement ends?

I am looking for ideas that make the long break interesting and worthwhile, doing something either paid, fun or related to education! (preferably all of them)

Many thanks.

Hi,

I am a primary education student! Before starting university I worked at a summer camp in America. In the summer between my first and second year I worked at a boarding school with international students. I really enjoyed both of these jobs and they did not really feel like work (but I did get paid!).

There are lots of opportunities available to work at various summer camps and summer schools, both within the UK and internationally, which are all really good experiences to add to your CV.

Hope that helps!
Sophie.
