gcse sociology

hi, got questions for this 12 marker.
Discuss how far sociologists would agree that changes in the law are the main reason for
the pattern of divorce in Britain since 1969.
[12 marks]
1) for the for first paragraph would you talk about the all laws itself or talk about one law for each for paragraph?
2) if we talk about feminism is it relevant to mention job opportunities?
3) what else would make sense to talk about for the for argument, because there are only 2 laws? thank you, pleas lmk :]

For the 12 markers, you can approach it like this:

Key Legal Changes: you can start with Divorce Reform 1969 and Matrimonial Act 1984, explain how these laws simplified the divorce with the shift towards no-fault divorce principles.

Feminism and Economic Independence: try and explain how feminism has improved job opportunities for women, leading to more financial freedom for them and ability to leave bad marriages.

Societal Attitudes: you can talk about how society view divorce, from taboo to acceptable, influenced by less religion and more individualism.

Economic Factors: try and link how economic conditions influence divorce --> less money = more stress on marriages...

You can see on Tilf website how your first draft performs in terms of mark and how to improve the structure
