University of Edinburgh Accom (study abroad student)

Hii everyone! I am going to be studying at uni of edinburgh for a semester and I was hoping to get a good idea of what accommodations to put as preferences? I am hoping to be close to the central part of town but might consider warrender park if it isn’t too bad of a walk.

What i’m looking for:
- social
- clean
- common room
- good location

Depends on your budget tbh, but I would recommend Salisbury Court (where I stayed in my first year and is on the higher end), or South Clerk Street (a bit cheaper but still central). I've heard that Mylnes Court on the Royal Mile is pretty good too. Avoid putting Shrubhill, Murano and Beaverbank and West Mains Road in your options as these are quite far out (unless you're at Kings a lot in which case WM Rd would suit you and there is a regular shuttle to the centre of town).
