English Literature GCSE

Hi guys! How is everyone remembering quotes and context because I’ve been making acc flashcards but it’s taking too long :frown: I’ve been using physics and maths tutor. I’m aware how great the light up hub is but I’m not sure if there’s a better and cheaper way before I get it! Thank youu
I found digital flashcards really helpful! StudySmarter is great. What texts did you do? I might be able to send you some if youre doing any that i have flashcards for. I got a 9 btw and found the best way to make them was to have a quotation on one side then full analysis (including structural significance/themes/context) on the other side. If you want to make your own then you can even just upload digital notes (like pmt notes) to StudySmarter and it’ll make you some ai generated flashcards! You do have to generate multiple times though cos it will do 10 and then you generate again which is a little annoying but that might be fixed now- haven’t used that feature for several months and it was just being developed when i did!

Pick & Choose my favourites. Remember; you don't get penalised for paraphrasing (but I wouldn't recommend doing it) so what I did was just memorise key words. ALSO instead of memorising entire quotes I memorised words so that I could embed my quotations (a tip recommended by my teacher).
e.g.: Say someone was described as jolly, I would embed it by only remembering the word jolly out of the entire quote and be like "the word jolly symbolises blah blah blah"

Hey if you’re struggling with quotes try and group them with themes and characters that way if you get a random theme you have lots of characters to back it up. I would recommend quizzes as many people have already put the analysis on the back
