Part-time study and funding

I applied to an open degree and want to study part time, so one module worth 60 credits per year, but when I go to apply for a student loan on SFE it says my allocation is worth two modules rather than one and asks if the amount is correct. Is this normal? For reference the module I want to begin with costs ~£3000 but it says the OU has allocated is ~£6000 on SFE.
Yes that's normal. You can either adjust it yourself and type in the correct amount, or leave it as is but make sure the little tick box for adjustments is ticked. I personally do both (adjust it myself, AND tick the box for automatic adjustments... just in case!)

Thanks. Sorry this is all new to me. So to clarify, I can adjust the tuition fee to the equivalent of one module on my SFE application and I’ll be able to study one 60 credit module for that year, not expected to choose another module with OU to make it up to 120 credits?

yes just adjust it. You don't need to study more than 1 module. I've only ever done one single 60 credit module per year at the OU.
