Further maths for pharmacology/neuroscience

I wanna start by saying I'm in year12
I already take bio/Chem/maths/FM, but I'm considering possibly dropping FM. I really do enjoy it and how challenging it is. But because of how challenging it is, It takes up free time that could be for other subjects. It also means I get half as many 'free' periods as people who only take 3 subjects.

I want to do something with neuroscience/ pharmacology as previously stated so I do need bio/Chem, and at bare minimum I don't want to drop maths. Which means to free up more time, I'd have to drop FM.

Is FM supposed be this hard? Like I tend to get 50% (on avg) when doing practice questions, is that bad or good? Can someone who's done/doing it tell me how they found it?

I know that 4 As arent too different from 3 in the eyes of unis, but I really do find FM interesting. I'm really not sure on what to do. Any advice would be appreciated!!
I’ve just dropped chemistry (was doing 3 sciences and maths) and even though I kind of regret it due to the fact I still love chemistry, it’s extremely important to take your health into account. I only did chemistry up till this half term but I was already constantly shaking from anxiety, my eczema was seriously worse, and my physical/ mental health was in decline. Im a bit of an extreme case but do what Will make you happy now and in the long run (taking into account that you must stay healthy in order to be happy). 🙂

Thank you for the advice. I missed a lot of year 10 due to anxiety so I know how it feels, I hope you can recover and cope with time!! You got this !
You don't need FM for either Neuroscience or Pharmacology - so if dropping it will enable you to focus on your main three subjects and get good grades, it sounds like a sensible plan.

You absolutely don't need further maths for either pharmacology or neuroscience. I did BSc pharmacology then PhD neuroscience and only occasionally even needed to rely on my A-level maths. I would definitely recommend you focus on the 3 others and ensure you do as best as you can in those as that's going to be more help in the long run than the 4th a-level
