Epq missed proposal A deadline

So I’m at the start of my epq and I have already messed it up.
I was meant to submit my proposal part A two weeks ago in which I forgot about due to having mocks.
Aqa says they take missed deadlines like the proposal significantly and can lead to significant penalties or even the work not being valid ( as it would have to be submitted on deadline to be valid). I have contacted my supervisor just now and apologised for the delay and inconvenience and sent them my work asap. (Got this from chat gpt as I couldn’t find anything regarding missed deadlines from aqa directly)
I’m now panicking as I had a good idea, and now I’m not sure wether to drop out as I already applied to med with epq on my application and don’t want it to affect my choices. I feel like I’m crumbling and I don’t think aqa will help if I contact customer services.

Is this an internal deadline or an external deadline? If internal, not the end of the world - you'll probably just lose a few project management marks.
If it's external, it might be much worse and we'll have to see what your supervisor says.

I'm just reading your OP again, and you're at the start of the EPQ - the deadline is very very likely to just be internal, so I wouldn't worry too much. Have you heard back yet?

My supervisor talked to me about it today, he said there would be no penalties like loosing marks and that it’s okay. He said he’ll look at my production log and proposal to get my idea green lit
