University of Chester Situational judgment test

I have an interview this week at Chester Uni and know it involves 'situational judgment tests'. Has anyone sat this test before and can help with any prep work? I don't know what to expect and would love to go into the interview at least half knowing what to expect. Thanks

Hi @siwhafjon

Congratulations on your interview! 🙂

Have you applied for one of our Nursing or Midwifery courses? If so, we have some information on the SJT style interview here - https://www.chester.ac.uk/study/how-to-apply/interview-days/school-of-nursing-and-midwifery/.

Best wishes,
Becky

Hi, I have a selection event next week. I am wondering if after the selection event and the SJT's do we then find out if we get offered a place or not or will we then be invited for a 1:1 interview if we pass the SJT's? Thank you

Hi @Smason93

It's great to hear that you've applied for Adult Nursing and been invited to a selection event! You can find more information on the selection event process here - https://www.chester.ac.uk/study/how-to-apply/interview-days/school-of-nursing-and-midwifery/. It states that we aim to inform you of the outcome of your application within two working days after the selection event. Your selection event invite email should have confirmed that there will not be an interview.

Hope this helps!

What happens if you are unable to attend because of living far away?

Hello,

We do encourage people to attend if possible as it will give you the opportunity to see the site and meet staff and students, but if it isn’t possible, there is the option to have an online Situational Judgment Test instead. We would recommend replying to the admissions team who sent you the invite.

If finance is a restriction on attending, you can apply for the Travel Bursary that is available for applicants to attend events (as these Selection Events are covered by this bursary).

I hope this helps but if you have any further questions please let me know.

Best wishes,
Becky

Hi @shoobydoo

As stated, the Situational Judgment Test event is covered by our Travel Bursary. This is a means-tested bursary which you can apply for if you feel you meet the eligibility criteria.

Thanks
