Student Finance England Maintenance Loan - Distance Learning

I am currently studying at the Open University, and due to a disability, unable to attend in-person university.

SFE has made this whole process so difficult, long and awkward. I have had to pay my doctor twice for a letter, their phone lines are constantly so busy, and it’s just been radio silence in regards to anything.

I don’t even know if my application will get approved. I submitted a letter from myself, my doctor, and proof of an in-person university not being able to accommodate my needs. You would think due to the nature of what is being applied for, it would be a lot smoother.

I just wanted to find out whether anyone else has experienced the same/similar things? And how, or if it was eventually resolved?
