...well not actually in the uni. lol...

Have any current students at uni been on any organised ski trips and how have they found them, how much do they generally cost. Also do any current Manchester or Nottingham students know if these unis run ski trips? Just wondering as iv always wanted to go and havent had the opportunity yet.

Thanks

I went on one Val d'isere at xmas... there were about 7 or 8 different unis all out there at once and it was absolutely superb. Literally crawling with students, which made the nightlife fab. Definitely recommend it I think the basic cost was around £300 (1 wk) but in reality you'll spend quite a bit more.

Kool, an initial cost of £300 is very good.

think my boyfriend paid about £300 for his ski trip, that was for 10 days, but then there's spending money on top. he went to les arcs, and nottingham uni were there at the same time.

also, luffbra have their own ski slope...so you could actually ski in the uni!

most unis have a ski club, dundee tries to get away most sundays (either to the dry ski slope at hillend, edinburgh or when there's snow to somewhere like avimore).... shame the snow has been appalling this year

There's a british university ski club (BUSC) trip at easter, it's £299 and people from all unis can go (http://www.buscevents.com). there was something similar over christmas as well (dundee just isn't big enough to have it's own trip)

the ski club here is a great way of socialising, all my most drunken nights out have been with them (we have weekly meetings in the pub)
