Module missing off timetable for 6 weeks.

Hello,
I noticed on my canvas account that there was an extra module
I spoke to the uni about this&it got added on but the lecture is at 9am and now it’s 2 months after September there is no spaces left in the before school club for my son so last week I turned up half an hour late, got to the class and there’s no teacher in there after the module was added 6 weeks late.
I went into class today for the first time and irs now November. The teacher has offered me no help, and told me I need to catch up online and that there’s no point in me being there today because I will be confused as to what’s going on.
I recorded the conversation as a lone female in the room with a man who was already calling me a liar saying that I didn’t turn up last week and no one else did so he went home. Will I get in trouble for this if I use it as evidence for the way he was speaking to me? He was saying I’m willing to put no effort in when I was literally asking for extra help😔 I was only half an hour late if that, he said he waited an hour.
I’m really stressing out, I’m being offered no support and don’t know what to do to take this further the assignment is due in January and I’ve missed around 18 hours. Another tutor has offered to help me but she can only do two sessions with me

This sounds like a difficult situation to be in and I understand why you are feeling frustrated about this.

I would say that the best thing for you to do would probably be to talk to the well-being team at your university as they will be used to dealing with situations like this and they should be able to give you the best help and support with this. If you explain the issue and that your tutor is unwilling to help you, they may be able to do something about this or just offer you a solution or some support.

If you have an academic advisor or personal tutor, it would be a good idea to get in touch with them too as this is what they are there for and if you explain to them your situation, they will be able to help you. They may be able to talk to your tutor about this or they may be able to help you with the work themselves if they are also a tutor in that subject area. It's worth a try anyway.

In the meantime I would also take up the offer or the tutor who has offered to help you. Two sessions is better than nothing and it might help clarify some things that you are struggling with. If you go through the content that is online before your session, you can highlight the parts that you don't understand and this will make better use of the two sessions as you don't need to got through the things you understand and she can just help you with the bits that you are struggling with. Make a list of questions too as this will help you to make the most of the sessions that you have with her as they will be quite useful.

It might also be worth explaining your situation with childcare to the help team at your uni as there may be something they can do about this. Or, if your tutor knows you will be a little bit late and this is out of your hands, they may be willing to ensure they stay for the lecture if they know you will be turning up.
