Is it worth resitting my gcses ?

I achieved 99887776 and D2* in my gcses. Two 9s in English, 8 in biology an 8 in maths , a 7 in chemistry physics and computer science and a 6 in music. I got a D2* in ICT. I'm currently doing fm, maths and biochem for a levels. I'm looking at applying to a Russel group university but I'm worried my gcses will hold me back. I'm looking at applying or UCL or Cambridge ( though that seems highly unlikely now ). I was really shocked at my gcse results and felt like I could have done better. I'm looking at applying for medicine but once again after my gcse results this seems unlikely. Would it be worth resitting chemistry and physics gcse and maybe even biology? And then possibly taking on a humanities gcse as I'm naturally good at humanities ( I would have to teach myself). I'm not sure :frown:
Why in the world do you think that you wouldn't you be able to get into an RG uni?

I got A*AAAABBBCCC and I got into the University of Leeds initially (later dropped out so I'm now at the OU), and now I've been accepted for an MSc at the University of Edinburgh.

Unis are far more bothered about your A Level results. Aside from Oxford which you haven't even mentioned, other universities don't put a ton of weight into GCSE results. Even Cambridge states "There are no GCSE (or equivalent) requirements for entry to Cambridge. We will look at your GCSE results as an indicator of your academic performance. But this will be within the context of the performance of the school/college where you achieved your GCSEs."

So calm down, goodness me. You don't need to resit anything, just crack on with your A Levels.

You have to put all grades on your UCAS application so it's pointless to resit. Focus on your A levels and getting high predicted grades.
