Help with subject selection

Im currently doing A levels 1st Year. I have taken Economics, Maths and IT. I have perfomed exceptionally in the college october test for economics (A* at 87%) and IT (A* at 100%) but I got a U in maths. Should i drop maths? I want to have econ and IT both fields open for me. And i want to study in scholarship (open to any country not only uk) . Maths is i believe a requirement as an a level subject. What should I do?
Do you know why you got this maths grade?
How did you do at GCSE?
Do you enjoy maths as a subject?
Dropping maths would limit your options in both these fields but its not worth taking a subject you wont enjoy and excel in.
I am weak at maths
In O level I got 3As and 6B (B in maths).
If i drop maths i would take accounting. But i have seen that maths is a requirement for both of my field leaving me double minded if i should drop maths or not.

My advice would be to speak to your teacher to see what they think about your academic performance and if they can help. As i said previously, no having maths would limit your options a lot so dropping it is quite a big decision and i think your teachers input could help you with that 🙂

That’s not very helpful ☹️ Is there someone else you could ask if possible?
I dont really have anybody to ask

Ok, no problem. I would suggest looking at some uni entry requirements to see if you’ll have any options which you’d enjoy in those fields (assuming uni is the goal) where maths is not a requirement. If there is then id suggest you drop it because you’re not enjoying it that much and you’re struggling with the content. If theres no options then maybe consider whether those fields are right for you given the high level of maths content and weigh up whether you’d have options in other fields you might enjoy. I hope you find a decision that suits you 🙂
Thankyou

I got a U for the first 2 formals for maths and now am predicted an A* so i think you should send time going over the content and stick with it and if you feel you want to drop it and the end then it’s always an option. but don’t lose hope
🥰 thankyou so much
