Lock in rn and only focus on the poems u think r gonna come up and ur worst poems. Only focus on like 3 quotes from each that u can remember rlly well and can ramble abt - rather than a lot of quotes from a lot of poems. Best thing rn which im also gonna do is get off tsr as it can stress u out or distract u. GL

I think your school looked at the topics and tried to pick the most niche ones 😁
Anyway that's definitely more interesting than whatever we're doing 🙂

anyone here do love and relationships? any predictions??

these have been the past questions for aqa poetry
Sample Set 1: Follower - compare how poets present attitudes towards a parent
2017: Mother, any distance - Compare how poets present growing up - FAM
2018: Singh Song? - how poets present romantic love - LOVE 2019: Winter Swans? how poets present romantic feelings - LOVE
NOV 2020: Walking Away - how poets present family relationships - FAM
2021: The Farmer’s Bride - how poets present strong feelings in romantic relationships - LOVE
2022: Sonnet 29 - 'I think of thee!' - how poets present ideas about the power of love - LOVE
2023: Before You Were Mine - how poets present relationships between parents and children - FAM
2024: Neutral Tones - how poets present powerful feelings about love - LOVE

for 2025 if aqa is following a pattern it has to be love.

poems that haven't come up

Letters From Yorkshire

Climbing My Grandfather

Eden Rock

Follower (question could come from sample set)

Love's Philosophy

Porphyria's Lover

When We Two Parted

I highly doubt letters from yorkshire will come up mainly because the romantic cluster students are split on whether it is a love poem or familial one - I find it to be a love one, but if the examiner believes it is familial it would make marking difficult - same with vice versa.

i also see it as somewhat love - it could be platonic or similar to a situationship like more than friends less than lovers since its explicitly stated that 'its not romance simply how things are'. but wouldnt the examiner be open to interpretation? like giving nuanced viewpoints or perspectives etc. i did that alot in p1 esp for macbeth's ambition soo 🤷🏻*♀️ but it could be anything aqa might even repeat a poem
