The University of Nottingham looks for candidates with a strong academic background and professional experience.
•
We consider applications from graduates with good approved university honours degrees as well as those with significant professional experience or qualifications that have the potential to enhance the diversity of the MBA class.
•
If you’re unsure about whether you meet the criteria, don’t hesitate to get in touch via our enquiry form! – here
Prepare a Clear Personal Statement:
•
Your personal statement is your chance to show why you're a good fit for the programme:
•
Explain why you want to pursue an MBA, what your career goals are
•
Why is Nottingham the right place to help you achieve those goals?
•
Be honest and reflect on your personal experiences and aspirations.
•
The University requires two references to support your application.
•
Choose referees who know you well professionally and can speak to your abilities character, and potential as an
•
MBA candidate.
•
Ideally, one reference should be from your current employer, but a reference from a past employer or academic mentor can also be valuable.
•
If your application is successful, you will be invited for an interview.
•
With any interview, it is best to be prepared about what you want to say, and what you want to ask, to get the best out of the experience.
•
We are trying to find out if you would be a good fit for our programme, but we also want to make sure that we are a good fit for your interests, learning preferences, and career objectives.
•
This is a two-way discussion there is no such thing as a 'perfect' answer, so we prefer to chat with you rather than hear a prepared script.
•
Before submitting, make sure your application is complete and accurate.
•
Double-check that all required documents are uploaded, including your CV, personal statement, references, and any other supporting materials.
•
Missing or incomplete applications can delay your admission process.
•
Make sure to submit your application by the required deadlines:
•
Start early to give yourself plenty of time to gather the necessary information and perfect your application.
•
Missing a deadline can mean you’ll have to wait for the next intake.
