Occupational therapy MSc

Hello, I am considering whether to do the MSc or the BSc in OT ... can anyone let me know of the intensity of the MSc please ?
I have dyslexia and dyspraxia and am toiling whether which one would be more suitable for my needs.

Thankyou !

Do you mean the pre-reg masters (usually a 2-year version of the BSc) or an integrated masters (a 4-year course)? Both masters courses and the BSc course would get you to the same place - band 5 jobs in the NHS. The BSc is likely to be less intense than the pre-reg masters so might be the better option for you.

Hello 🙂 Did you eventually choose a course? I have dyslexia and dyspraxia too but was worried about feeling too old in the BSC occupational therapy class.

Hiya, yes I decided to go with the MSC in OT route ( will probably regret it later ). You will do a fantastic job im sure of it, im also a mature student aswell. There will definitely be students your age so you won't feel so out of place !

Don’t feel too old 🙂 never too old to learn and try to get into a new field of work you enjoy. I’m starting an OT course in September, (BSc) at the ripe age of 35. I have two children, youngest is currently 11months. I’m nervous but at the same time I’m excited .

Fantastic !! All the best to you. My mom qualified as a nurse at 45, was so happy for her.
