hey, I get you so much I have a short attention span too, im in year 11 just had my 5th mock so far, I know people probably have told you this, but get unnecessary devices away, phones, iPads laptops etc, if you wanna have your phone I recommend downloading an app called Flora, my friends introduced me to it, you set a timer lets say 10 min, it will not let you go on any other app till 10 min is over if you do leave the app, there is a 5 second warning, trust me, get it, then have a break, do this a few times. I rarely concentrate in my house bc there are so many distractions, the tv, the fridge, clothes etc, go to your citys library, go with friends (make sure you do your work too!!) also listen to music! I find its really helpful! what GCSE are you taking? hope that helps x

Hello! I have AuDHD so I 100% sympathise with you in regard to short attention span and difficulty focusing (I find it even more difficult when I find things tedious - do you?)
I think my main advice is what works for one person may not work for another, so it's worth keeping in mind if you find a few methods don't work for you, don't give up! It took me a while to find something that worked for me.

I found I revise best listening to music - I make a long playlist so I'm not distracted by my phone when I skip a song. My teachers always said turn my phone off, I stick it on Do Not Disturb instead.

I also have a different drink and chocolate when I revise, maybe it's 'trained' my brain into thinking of it as a reward?

Definitely allow yourself to have breaks when things feel harder, so easy to beat yourself up over needing a lot of breaks however if you're distracted you won't get as much done! Everyone works differently, remember!

Things I know that have worked for others:

Take notes in different colours.

Use sticky notes and stick them around your bedroom, so you see them often as you move around the room.

If you revise using past papers, try doing one high-mark question at a time, or one section of low-mark questions (if that makes sense), as opposed to the entire paper at once.

Good luck in your mocks, you will be great!
