16+ entry exams advice

Hi!
I have applied to Downe House for sixth form 2025, I just sat my maths exam (happy to give advice🫶) but am a bit nervous/confused on the general paper- it seems similar to an a level RE essay question but I don't know if that is how I should approach it.. I am also doing eng lang so any advice for that exam would also be appreciated 🙌!

Also wondering how hard it is to get in, I can't grasp how academic DH is and I am going for a scholarship, my maths paper went okay so I am a bit nervous 😭.
Also please make this a general 16+ chat because I can't find any😔.

hey! ive applied for a bursary to DH, could you tell me what the maths test was like. was it more gcse style maths test or was there some further maths?

Hi, sorry I only just saw the replies,
yes, I did get an interview and then offered a place which i can't quite believe 😂.

heyy, yea the maths test was very similar to gcse, the only thing I would say is that there were some IGCSE topics which are not taught at standard GCSE.. please feel free to message me because I also applied with bursary and i would be happy to help/ give advice.
