thoughts on QUB?

I am looking at doing civil engineering and I am interested in Queen's University Belfast, however I have heard it can be quite cliquey. What is it like for an English person studying there?

My daughter went to qub. She found it hard being from England as so many other students were from n Ireland and went home at weekends. She dropped out, reapplied and is really happy now elsewhere. Not to put anyone off, but this was her experience.

Locals esp first years go home at weekends . Some are still in school cliques
But there are other GB students and overseas students about.
Different students have different experiences but helps if join in whatever sport or activity interested in to make friends beyond course.
